  • £1.65 million spent on Lovelace school, Chessington

    A consultation period has been opened over the next few weeks about the expansion of Lovelace school.  Kingston Borough council has put aside £1.65 million pounds for the project.  It's hoped that once the money is spent, the expansion will cater for a new class.     Surbiton, French teacher, Louise Tassell has been given an award for her services.   She was chosen as licensee of the year by La Jolie Ronde. Louise was chosen as she has demonstrated outstanding commitment to teaching french.  She teaches over 75 pupils in local schools and open centres.     The Chessington Bowmen Archers have managed to secure a grant to help disabled people get involved in archery.   The £750 hand out will help purchase a Compound Bow which is suited to wheelchair users.   The comes from Kingston Council's South of the Borough Neighbourhood Committee.
