Still love it here

Surprised at the comments of surreybaps. I go here about 3 times every hear and have done for the last 10 years. It's never let me down. Can get a bit expensive, but that's usually coz I over-order! i think it's still the same family, so can only presume surreybaps was very unlucky.

    It NEEDS some magic

Not impressed at all. We had a set menu and the starter was greasy, the ribs dry. The main was made up of processed chicken and another dish was grissly. Wont be returning.

    It's Magic!

The Magic Wok is a family business that’s been in Surbiton since 1988. Nothing ever seems to change there, from the decor to the menu – but we love it! It’s a large restaurant and the staff are friendly and attentive. The menu has everything that you would expect from a Chinese restaurant, but the quality of the food is just that little bit better than most. We wouldn’t normally recommend set menus, but the Magic Wok’s have been put together with some thought. We also love the Aromatic Crispy Duck served with pancakes.

They do a Sunday lunch buffet; from noon to 3pm at a cost of £10.95 for adults and £4.95 for children (under 1.4 metres). There is also a take away service with a discount of 10% on orders over £15.

No pretensions, but this is a great local restaurant that’s worth remembering.
