This is a lovely big pub away from the centre of Surbiton at the bottom of Surbiton Hill Road. The pub is split between five separate areas so that everyone can find an area to suit them. There is a new lounge area just as you enter the pub, with a very large TV screen that comes down for big sporting events and occasional movies. The food here is great with an ever changing menu, special offers and events. They put on a ’gourmet food and wine evening’ on the first Wednesday of every month with four courses and four wines for just £24.99. The pub also has a wide range of beers and wines with a three-week long cask ale festival running from 30th October 2010. The Garden at the Waggon is great with under-cover booths where you can eat, drink and smoke. There garden also has a hutch with a couple of rabbits to keep the kids amused. We spoke with Steve at the Waggon and he told us of lots of new events coming up. They have recently moved into the live music scene and have regular quiz and charity nights. This pub has been popular for many years and we reckon it’s a s good as ever.
