Last night's powersurge explained

Residents across Kingston, Surbiton and as far as Epsom may have experienced their lights flicker last night.
It turns out that UK Power Networks were working in Castle Street in Kingston last night.
169 People in Kingston were left with out power for around a quarter of an hour just before 10pm.
A UKPN spokesperson has said: "We appreciate how difficult it can be to lose power, especially at this time of year."
The work was carried out and completed last night.
