There's less than two weeks to go until the General Election and if like me, you still haven’t made up your mind which way to vote, why not take a look at the following web sites to help sway your decision?

Who Should You Vote For, Vote for Policies and Vote Match all give you ways of finding out which of the political parties really share your views or which have declared an intention, if elected, to do the things you want from the next government.

Who Should You Vote For, for example, makes statements such as:

“National testing for 10 and 11 year olds should be abolished”

and

“Being perceived to be upper class is NOT a barrier to being a good Prime Minister”

Then, depending on whether you agree or disagree, matches you with a party that agrees or disagrees as well.

On Vote for Policies, you can select four areas that you’re particularly interested in, or all areas if you can't decide, and the web site builds a survey to suit you using excerpts of policy manifestos from the main political parties.

On Vote Match, you enter your post code (or click on England) and are given a series of statements with which to agree or disagree.

So why not give one of them a try? Spend a few minutes trying one of the sites and let us know if you got a result you were happy with, or if the result you get is unexpected!

I liked that site though I focused more on personal experience.  One thing that had a major impact upon my selection was the Leaflet from the Concervative representative Helen, who stated how if elected would do this and that and how great for local business's etc etc.  I then noticed the smallprint at the very back of the leaflet that stated it had been printed in Guilford.  This given that I'm aware of at least 2 printing estabilishments within Kingston and the fact that when questioned she not only ignored my question but took it upon herself to assume I wanted to be spammed by her marketing department and fill up my inbox with more drivel.  i also felt that her "about me" section showed no insight into achievent beyond what appeared to be akin to seagull managment and with that felt that Helen Whately would not only not be getting my vote but also raised questions into how she become the local candidate.

These alone put me off voting Concervative and as it stands I felt that Ed Davey had already proven he cared about the local people, already had his expenses cleaner than clean before it became fashionable and achieved things above and beyond vapourware promises that Helen had to offer.

I personaly have voted Tory for many years, but after looking into things in detail I feel I have to appologise to not only the other parties but also Kingston as a whole - I wont feel the need to appologise any more and shall sleep soundly in my choice of vote this year.

Biggest tip I can offer is look at everything in maticulus detail and pick whoever is best going to server you and your family and friends the best.  Myself I picked who would serve the area the best and would stand by the area over party policey were applicable.
