Our popular Surbiton Farmer’s Market is back tomorrow (15 May) between 9am and 1pm along Surbiton’s Maple Road.

The event has become a regular fixture for locals, and attracts up to 25 different stalls selling myriad fresh produce which includes the family-run Simon’s Free Range Eggs, The Posh Pie Company, Sussexway Meat, selling local and traditionally reared produce including beef, lamb, pork, chicken, sausage, bacon and eggs, Allingham Farm for traditionally reared lamb and free-range rare breed pork and Norbiton Cheese. Many of the bars and restaurants along Maple Road serve breakfast and coffee for the market’s duration. For more information about the stalls visit the Maple Road website.

Maple Road Surbiton Farmers’ Market is organised by and for the local community, and it’s run by volunteers. Each month a different charity is invited to take a stall – in the last two months we’ve had the Surrey Wildlife Trust and The Fircroft Trust.

This month the Farmer’s Market welcomes Yorda Adventures, based in Windmill Lane, which provides play schemes, after school care, away days and respite care for young people with disabilities and their families.

The next Farmer’s Market takes place on 19 June.

Have you been to any of the Farmer’s Markets? What do you think?
