Do you want to make a difference to council planning in Surbiton? If you have views on how the council should be spending your council tax, why not go to the Neighbourhood Community meeting on Thursday 4 March at 2pm or Wednesday 10 March at 7pm at Glenmore House, The Crescent, Surbiton?
The Surbiton Neighbourhood Committee, which is running these community work shops, is made up of 12 council members from the Alexandra, Berrylands, St Marks and Surbiton Hill wards. “We are asking all who live and work in Surbiton to get involved in the decisions that affect them by helping us to develop a Surbiton Community Plan,” says the committee.
It will reflect the issues that you tell them are important – so whether you’re concerned about Victoria Park at night, you’re fed up with road works, you think our council tax is too high or you’re worried about the persistent rumours regarding Kingston Hospital department closures – don’t keep quiet – let your voice be heard at one of these meetings!
Don’t worry if you can’t make either of these meetings – the Neighbourhood Committee says there will be other opportunities to express your views later in the year – we will keep you posted.
What is worrying you about council services in Surbiton? Are you happy with the service you’re getting from the council? Tell us your thoughts below.

I want to know when Surbiton is going to be zone five instead of zone six... Here's where it is on google maps in case anyone's wondering.
