Every year people gather on St Mark's Hill in Surbiton to strap blocks of ice to their feet and ski down a fairy liquid soaked Highstreet.

Many participants end up on the floor or in the barrier, with compere Robin Hutchinson poking fun at the antics.

Even the MP for Kingston and Surbiton, Ed Davey took part to help raise money for Shooting Star Chase children's hospices.

Among the entrants were a giant guinea pig and a bath tub full of members of the Woman's Institute as well as a number of Surbitonians, who needless to say got well involved in this cool yet strange event.

The whole event is in aid of Shooting Star Chase Children's Hospice in Hampton and Creative Youth.
