For the forthcoming event; The River Roads walk, the Free University of Seething, is asking people who currently live on the Surbiton River Roads (The Mall, Westfield Road, Cleaveland Road, St Leonards Road, Cadogan Road, Grove Road, Catherine Road, Uxbridge Road, Palace Road, Angelsea Road and Riverside Close) to get in contact and share memoires and or anecdotes of their lives on the roads.

This could be the simple act of sharing a photo of a family event that has taken place on the road or sharing a story that reflects their enjoyment and or annoyances.

They're compiling a public archive of life on the roads as part of its investigation into how people and communities react to their surroundings and develop a sense of place within them.

The Free University will also be running a community walk focussing on the River Roads on Sunday 3rd February, for this F.U.S will ask those who have taken part in the production of the public archive if they would like to become further involved in this project.

The River Roads walk will be a combination of direct histories regarding the roads - sourced from the Kingston and Surrey archive - and personal anecdotes and images from its current inhabitants.

If you live on the Surbiton River Roads and would like to be involved please email David Jeevendrampillia (david.jeevendrampillai.10@ucl.ac.uk) with the subject heading Surbiton River Roads.
