So sad to see that the lovely month old cygnets down at Charter Quay are slowly disappearing. Four hatched out, and their arrival generated a lot of interest from locals and visitors to the area. Last evening there were only three, and this morning I could only see two.......is it nature, or is something more sinister going on?..

    Hi jwhitekelly
In reply to your question about Laundrys in Surbition the only big one that comes to my mind was the Royal Windsor Laundry in Lenelby Rd, if my mind serves me correctly it was owned by a family called the (Groves). My mum worked there for a few years after WW2. and I recall going in there sometimes when I was young, and my uncle who is in his 90s now still lives about 6 doors away from the old site...... Hope this has been of help.

Thanks for the name of the Laundry and the family name that owned it. Very much appreciated.
