Excitement is growing throughout Surbiton's business community as the first Kingston Business Excellence Awards, in association with NatWest, approach – and there is still time for you to get your ticket.
On Thursday, October 24, the best of the best of Kingston business will gather at Holiday Inn Kingston South for an awards ceremony and gala dinner to celebrate them and their achievements.
It is the first time the three main business support partners in Kingston, the Kingston Chamber of Commerce, Kingston Council and Kingstonfirst, have worked together to produce an event of this kind and it promises to become a major date on the borough's business calendar.
Ed Davey MP, Secretary of State for Energy & Climate Change and MP for Kingston & Surbiton, will be the special guest, and TV presenter Adam Parsons will host the evening.
"I am delighted to be attending the Kingston Business Excellence Awards," said Mr Davey MP.
"These awards really do showcase the best of Kingston, across all sectors. I am especially proud of the recognition given to our fantastic voluntary sector organisations this year."
The night will begin at 6.30pm with a drinks reception, sponsored by the Holiday Inn Kingston South, followed by speeches and a three-course gala dinner from 7.30pm, before the awards ceremony begins at 9.30pm.
As well as being the headline sponsor, NatWest is sponsoring the best SME (small or medium sized enterprise) category and Sarah Bilby, director of business banking for NatWest Kingston, said: "NatWest is extremely proud to support the inaugural Kingston Business Excellence Awards, a fantastic showcase for the outstanding business talent throughout the Kingston borough."
The evening will be a fantastic opportunity to network with some of the most important businessmen and women in Kingston and you can still secure your seat to be part of the party. All guests will enjoy a drinks reception and a three-course meal with half a bottle of wine per guest, followed by coffee and chocolates.
Individual tickets cost £79.50 plus VAT with tables of 10 priced at £750 plus VAT. Premium tables, which include two bottles of champagne, extra wine and a location close to the stage, cost £995 plus VAT.
More than 120 businesses, large and small, entered the awards and a shortlist for all 12 categories was chosen last month. The winners of nine of the awards have been chosen by a judging panel but the customer service, independent retailer and best hospitality categories have been decided by a public vote.
