Motorists travelling around Tolworth are being warned of disruption as the infamous Greenway project is set to get underway

The plan is to take away the central barrier on Tolworth Broadway and instead put in a path for cyclists and pedestrians.

The idea is to regenerate the area at a cost of £3million.

The scheme also boasts improved lighting and paving, trees and new benches a 20 mph speed limit along the Broadway.

It doesn't stop there because the plans include new crossings and routes for cyclists and pedestrians new loading bays for shops on both sides of the Broadway new surface crossings without steps.

Funded by Kingston Council and Transport for London, the scheme will be phased over six months to minimise disruption as much as possible.

Plans will be on show on Wednesday, 13 March, from 3-7 pm at Tolworth Tower.

What do you think of the plans? Do you think it's safe?
