Surbiton shop window display becomes an international hit

The window display of Focus menswear on Claremont Road in Surbiton has been attracting so much attention that TV crews from around the world are now covering the story. The simple, but amusing window display takes the mick out of the incredibly strict Olympic rules that stop small businesses and individuals from using the Olympic rings or even mentioning certain phrases related to the Games. The display on the windows has five coloured interlocking squares with 'Lodnon 2102 Oimplycs' printed above.

Focusing on Focus!
Literally hundreds of people have taken photos of the window display and it's become a viral hit on Twitter and Facebook. We've even noticed that people are making special journeys into Surbiton just to take a look at the display. But over the last couple of days the window display has attracted the attention of several international TV stations, from countries such as Korea and Japan. There have been camera crews and people being interviewed outside the men's clothing hire shop. It seems that Surbiton has become an unexpected international hit for Olympics followers.
It's a great bit of fun and hopefully we have another small Surbiton business getting some positive free advertising. At the bottom of the display reads a small notice that reads: "We are not allowed to use the following "London 2012" "Olympics" "London Games" etc etc. Therefore bring on the "Lodnon 2102 Oimplycs".
