Surbiton Christmas rubbish collections
By Surb_People | Friday, December 23, 2011, 14:35
Household waste and recycling collections in Surbiton will be one day later than usual over the Christmas and New Year fortnight. For example, if your normal collection day is a Thursday, then during the two weeks commencing 26 December it will be Friday instead. Collections return to normal from Monday 9 January 2012.

Christmas trees will be collected on the same day as your landfill waste between Tuesday 3 January and Friday 20 January 2012. Just leave your tree next to your wheelie bin and it will be taken away for composting. Alternatively, you can take your tree to the Villiers Road Household Reuse and Recycling Centre (Tip).
The Villiers Road tip will be open from 7.30am to 4.00pm on all public holidays except from Christmas Day and New Years Day. The tip is notoriously busy and queues can be very long, but you can check out the queues before you leave by looking at the tip-cam here.
