We noticed that the Surbiton's Chez Julien Delicatessen is up for sale. The Deli is in St Mark's Hill opposite the Coronation Hall pub.

Surbiton Ski Sunday award winners outside Chez Julien
Chez Julien took a little while to take off, but now they are a great asset to the local area. They sell food to eat in or take-away and have a great line in pastries and chocolates. They also sell lots of unusual deli items that make this an interesting place to visit: French cheese, bread, pate and cold meats.
The owners are a lovely couple who always have a smile and a kind word. They also have a regular stall in the Surbiton Farmers' Market, selling mainly cakes and pastries.
The 10 year lease is renewable in 5 years time with rent fixed at £16,650 per annum for the unexpired term. 3 month rent deposit is required. Apparently 'the vendor has the opportunity to enter a partnership in a totally unrelated business'.
If they eventually do move we wish them all the best for the future. They have been very much involved in Surbiton life and always help with the Ski Sunday event which takes place directly outside their shop.

Oh no, that is sad news... Still best of luck Julien.
