FoSW final call for people to oppose filter bed development

The Friends of Seething Wells have made a final call for people to oppose a development proposed for the Surbiton Filter beds.
Kingston Council is passing judgement on the plans put forward by Hydro Properties on the 22nd January.
In an email sent out to local supporters of the campaign are being encouraged to send emails and letters to councillors sitting on the decision making committee.
Hundreds of residents have already written to councillors detailing why the development should not go ahead.
A new set of floating homes and a new marina have been put forward for the site on Portsmouth Road.
However, campaigners claim that plans have not met the requirements of laid out by the Metropolitan Open Land status of the area.
They've also said that the plan is at odds with Kingston Council's own core planning policies adopted last year.
Wildlife in the would also be a concern should plans go ahead.
