Kingston and Surbiton MP has met with the headteacher of Christ Church Primary School about government policy.

The energy secretary spoke to Tracey Coton about local issues the school is currently having.

Christ Church's field often gets waterlogged, by Edward Davey has said the area is to be drained so that children can use the open space.

Recently, Kingston Council has invested in the school to meet the need for primary school places.

While he was there, Mr. Davey took time out to tour the school and meet with a group of children from year 6.

He spoke to a number of classes and took questions about what it is like to be an MP and talked to year 6 about their current project on the rainforest and the environment.

Commenting, Edward said: "Christ Church School is one of the fantastic, high quality schools which serves Kingston."

"I especially enjoyed discussing environmental issues with the children and I was impressed by their knowledge of the subject and the level of interest which they displayed."
